Practitioner Terms
Last updated: 6 November 2026
Acceptance of terms
These terms are an agreement between you, the practitioner, and 12014637 CANADA INC., which operates Praxbook ("we", "us"). You accept them when you create your practice, by ticking the box at signup. Patients who book with you have their own Patient Terms.
For your professional practice
Praxbook is provided for use in the course of your own professional practice. By signing up you confirm that you are acting for that purpose, as a business customer and not as a consumer.
Using it for anything else, such as booking friends, personal or hobby use, or testing it on behalf of someone else, is outside the service's purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for losses arising from that use.
The service
Praxbook is a booking platform for individual practitioners. Each practitioner manages their own booking page, locations, services, consent forms, and appointments. Patients use the platform to book, reschedule, and cancel appointments with a practitioner directly.
Accounts
Login is passwordless: we email a one-time code, and no password is ever stored for patient or practitioner accounts. You are responsible for keeping access to the email address on your account secure.
Practitioner responsibilities
Practitioners are responsible for the accuracy of their own booking page content, consent forms, and availability, and for meeting their own professional and regulatory obligations (including screening and consent requirements specific to their field). Praxbook provides the tools; it does not practice on the practitioner's behalf.
Patients contact the practitioner, not Praxbook. The emails and texts Praxbook sends to patients name the practitioner, give the practitioner's phone number where one is set, and tell patients to contact the practitioner about their appointment. That includes someone who is sent a confirmation for a booking they don't recognise — for example, because someone else booked using their email address — and a patient who replies to a text, since our text number does not receive messages. Practitioners should expect these calls and messages and deal with them as part of their practice; Praxbook does not answer patients on a practitioner's behalf.
Data processing
A practitioner is the controller of their own patient records and Praxbook is their processor. That relationship is governed by our Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these terms and takes effect when you create a practitioner account. Where it and these terms disagree about the processing of patient data, the Data Processing Agreement applies.
Trial and fees
New practitioner accounts include a 30-day free trial with full access and no card required. After the trial, continued use is billed at the price quoted to you at signup. We do not store payment card details; payment is arranged directly (for example, by invoice or payment link).
Text messages. Your subscription includes 50 texts a month to your patients. This allowance may change in future; we will give you at least 30 days' notice before reducing it. Texts beyond the allowance are not sent, and the email to the patient still goes. If you need more texts, contact us.
Cancellation
Practitioners may stop using the service at any time. Patient appointment history is retained per our Privacy Policy even after a practitioner's account becomes inactive, for audit purposes.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the platform: no unlawful content, no attempting to access another practitioner's or patient's data, no interfering with the service's normal operation.
Availability and liability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Praxbook is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. Each version is dated, and the list at the end of this page says what changed in each.
- Every new version needs your agreement. When you next sign in, you are shown a summary of what changed, with a link to these terms, and asked to agree before your practice pages open. Your booking page keeps working meanwhile, so your patients can still book.
- Until you agree, the version you last accepted continues to apply to you. If you don't want to agree, you can cancel as described above.
- If you haven't signed in within 15 days of a new version, we email you its summary and tell you that you will be asked to agree when you next sign in.
Corrections that change nothing, such as fixing a typing error, are made without a new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Changes
What changed in each version of these terms, newest first. The summaries are the ones practitioners were shown; the terms above are what apply.
- 6 November 2026
- The terms are now in two parts: these, for practitioners, and separate terms for patients. Practitioners confirm at signup that they use the service for their own professional practice, and any change to these terms now needs their agreement at sign-in.
